DACH Antitrust Law Forum October 2020

Today, markets and competitive dynamics are less and less confined within national borders. In consequence, antitrust law and enforcement has to strive for a cross-border coherent regulatory framework. This is especially true for the closely intertwined economies of Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

For this reason, the D-A-CH Antitrust Law Forum aims to provide a platform for the regular exchange between antitrust scholars and practitioners in these countries. The core element of the forum is an annual conference on cutting-edge antitrust issues, held in turn in the three countries.

Podcasts:

The topic of the inaugural event of the Konnex Antitrust Law Forum, namely “relative market power – basic questions and current developments”, is known to concern a special feature of, among others, German – probably in a form amended by the 10^th GWB amendment – and Austrian antitrust law, while in Switzerland the introduction of (explicit) rules on the exercise of relative market power is likely to be imminent.

In various modules, the online conference will shed light on the concept of relative market power, the legal rules currently based on it, and the foreseeable upcoming legal developments from the perspective of economics, jurisprudence and practice.
